God or Allah? — An Important Question

Understanding the Word
Linguistically, the word “Allah” simply means God in Arabic. Arab Christians, Jews, and Muslims all use this word when speaking about God in their language. So in terms of vocabulary alone, “Allah” is not a different name for a different being — it is the Arabic word for God.
From a Christian Perspective
In Christianity, God is understood as one God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — fully revealed through Jesus Christ. Christians believe God is personal, loving, and relational — a Father who desires closeness with His children.
At the heart of the Christian faith is this truth: salvation and the fullest revelation of God are found in Jesus. Through Him, we are redeemed, restored, and invited into relationship.
From an Islamic Perspective
In Islam, Allah is understood as absolutely one — without the Trinity. God is not described as Father, does not have a Son, and did not become human.
Jesus is honored as a prophet, and God’s revelation is believed to come through the Qur’an and the prophet Muhammad.
So, Are They the Same?
The answer depends on what we mean.
The word itself is the same — it means God. Both faiths trace their spiritual roots back to Abraham and believe they worship the one Creator.
However, the understanding of God’s nature is very different.
For Christians, the defining difference is Jesus. If Jesus is the Son of God and God in the flesh, then the Christian understanding of God is uniquely centered on Him. If Jesus is seen only as a prophet, then the understanding of God’s character and revelation shifts dramatically.
Why This Matters
As followers of Christ, our faith rests in the beautiful truth that we are loved, redeemed, and invited into relationship with God through Jesus. Questions like this do not weaken faith — they deepen understanding. Truth welcomes honest seeking.
And this is where the heart of Carry Him shines.
We believe in the phenomenal truth of God’s love — that through Jesus, we have equal access to God. Not by status. Not by culture. Not by language. But by grace.
When we say “God in us — through Jesus,” we are declaring relationship. We are declaring identity. We are declaring love. Carry Him is more than apparel for men, women, and children. It is a reminder that we walk clothed in truth. That we carry His love into every room. That what we wear can reflect the One who lives within us.
Equal Access to God — through Jesus. Made in His image. Walking in love.
Kindest Regards,
Carry Him Apparel
